Welcome to Cottonwood Veterinary Hospital
“We care for those who give us so much but ask for so little”.
Welcome Dr. Megan Puchlerz
Meet Dr. Meg:
Education and Veterinary Background: Dr. Meg is a native Montanan and was born in Bozeman. Montana’s diverse wildlife population, and her family’s collection of wonderful hunting dogs, inspired her love of animals. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry, English and Environmental Studies. After working for several years as a certified veterinary technician she went on to obtain her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2012.
Animals seen: Dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, small pocket pets (guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, etc).
Special interests: Dr. Meg enjoys working with emergent concerns, advanced internal medicine cases/hospitalized cases, and helping families with long term disease management such as diabetes. She has a special interest in canine athletes, pain management and wound care. She also loves educating the community about keeping their pets healthy and ways to strengthen the pet/human bond. Have a community event that you’d like a veterinarian to talk at? Give us a call!
The inside scoop: Dr. Meg’s life is ruled by two very beautiful, but highly spoiled, field setters. When not at work, she can usually be found chasing her two setters down a mountain trail or through a field in search of pheasants.
